JUCY Rentals operated a campervan-focused rental business across New Zealand, Australia and the United States. In New Zealand, JUCY also operated JUCY Cruise (67% stake) in Milford Sound and JUCY Snooze (50% stake) accomodation in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.

Dave led JUCY’s turnaround strategy through COVID and a partnered with PwC in a complex sales process with many stakeholders which lead to a successful sale to Polar Capital. Advice provided:

  • Led strategic planning and development of financial modelling across all Group entities

  • Managed interactions with the Bank to ensure their expectations were managed throughout process

  • General advisory and critical analysis of options to JUCY’s board

  • Provided advice on creditor management

  • Partnered with PwC to sell the business in a process that spanned COVID lockdowns and involved multiple international buyers (this involved input into the IM and leading negotiation with ultimate purchaser including term sheet and final legal agreements)
